Beloved, August 2021
As we move into the last weeks of the summer season I hope everyone is doing well and having a good summer. Th church continues to move forward with the ministries and some interesting work. There has also been a change in the leadership as we move forward. Although this change was unexpected and by request of the person, it is for the best for that person and the church will remain well covered. Due to a change in his business and more demands on his time, Bill McKinstry has asked to step down in order to take care of immediate needs. Bill is in no way leaving the church and I am looking forward to his return to the leadership team in the future. Going forward for the rest of the year Paul Parks has accepted the position of moderator. Paul, although is a relative new member of the church, has been active in the church and comes with a good set of skills. In the role as Council Chairperson, Nicole McKinstry will be stepping up. Nicole has always been a visible presence in the church and has been an active, important member of the lay leadership team.
The church is meeting together for community worship every Sunday. It has been decided that we will remain masked, socially distant, with no community singing. This is for the safety of all members and even if you are vaccinated, we are requiring masks to be worn in doors. If you have any questions pertaining to this requirement please feel free to contact me at the phone number listed at the end of this message. We are still working out the details of the requirements for the retreat.
I hope you find his update useful and I hope you are all doing well. If you need to talk to me no matter what the reason, please know I am always available and you may contact me at (413) 592-0396. Blessings on you and your family.
